Why I chose this lamp.
Most of what gets sold as decor in Pakistan is plastic dressed up to look like something else. It photographs well for a week and then it is just another thing on the shelf. I wanted one object in my own study that guests would stop and ask about.
This lamp was it. A genuine HCNT base with the patent printed on the box, a walnut disc that has real weight in the hand, and a bulb that lifts off and stays there. I have had mine switched on every evening for three years. It still gets the same reaction.
